McCathern Partners Ty Sheaks and Joseph “Joey” Sampson will return as faculty this spring at the 2022 Academy for Venue Safety & Security, conducted in-person by the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM). The 2022 edition of this prestigious academy will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 27 through March 4.
McCathern’s attorneys are proud to be longtime academy participants as faculty and speakers. The IAVM considers the Academy to be “the premier source to educate Venue Managers, Event Planners, Public Safety Professionals, Industry and Business Leaders, Government Agencies, Educators and Students in all aspects of Safety and Security.”
Over the course of two years, attendees study all aspects of venue safety and security in a curriculum developed by experts in the field. Among the many classes spread out over five days, McCathern’s Ty Sheaks and Joey Sampson will be the primary instructors of the following sessions for Year 1 and Year 2 attendees on Monday, February 28 (Day 2):

Additionally, Ty Sheaks and Joey Sampson will participate in leading Individual Discussion Groups each afternoon, covering a variety of focus issues from that day’s sessions.
