Attorney Asher K. Miller joined McCathern’s Dallas office in 2022 and is making an immediate impact with the firm’s clients. Asher is rapidly developing his experience across numerous practice areas, including Business & Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Law, Insurance Litigation, and Large Loss Subrogation.
Asher is particularly interested in learning from McCathern’s many esteemed trial lawyers and working with both plaintiffs and defendants to maximize the breadth of his abilities.
Asher earned his J.D. from Baylor Law School in 2022. While at Baylor he excelled in Baylor’s renowned Practice Court, an invaluable training experience for future trial attorneys. Tenacious and competitive, Asher won numerous awards at Baylor for his skills in written and oral advocacy, winning Baylor’s Spring 2020 “Write-On” competition and defeating many opponents across the country in moot court and mock trial tournaments. Asher Miller also served for two years on the esteemed Baylor Law Review, earning the title of Senior Executive Editor.
Asher graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Texas A&M University in 2017 with a B.S. in Political Science and Government. In addition, he minored in Mandarin Chinese and earned a graduate certificate in Advanced International Affairs from the Bush School of Government and Public Service. During all four years of Asher’s collegiate studies, he actively served in A&M’s student military organization, the Corps of Cadets, attaining a senior officer rank and, with it, years of experience in leadership.
Before entering law school after college, Asher also spent a year of his life working and living in overseas in Chongqing, China. In Chongqing, Asher developed unique cross-cultural communication skills as a college-level teacher, and he attained a degree of fluency in standard Mandarin he hopes will serve him in practice.
