Biography
Noah McCathern joined McCathern in its Dallas office in 2022 but has been part of our family for years. Early in his career as an attorney, Noah is already providing counsel to McCathern clients across numerous practice areas.
These practice areas include Business & Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, Criminal Defense, Real Estate Litigation, Real Estate Transactions, Construction Litigation, Business Consulting, Family Law, and he has a vibrant Personal Injury practice. In addition, Noah has handled breach of contract, consumer protection, international business transactions, and the expungement of criminal records. He is already gaining experience in the court room and will rapidly grow as a trial attorney under the guidance of the firm’s tenured partners.
Growing up around the firm, Noah has had a deep interest for the law since he was young, and he believes deeply in McCathern’s mission of Improving People’s Lives. “I have a passion for litigation because you can help people when they can’t help themselves,” Noah says. Noah has a background in the service and sales industries, spending years in and around restaurants as a host and a valet, and in sales roles from exotic automobiles to hail repair. Noah has never met a stranger, and it plays well in his newfound legal practice.
Noah earned his J.D. from the SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was an avid participant in mock trial competitions and a member of the William “Mac” Taylor American Inn of Court. He participated in the Dedman School of Law’s Criminal Defense Clinic, where he represented indigent individuals in the Dallas County Criminal courts on a provisional law license under Criminal Defense legend Mike McCollum. Whilst studying law, Noah clerked for Judge John P. Chupp of the 141st District Court in Fort Worth, Texas and for Judge John Roach, Jr. of the 296th District Court in McKinney, Texas.
Before enrolling in law school, Noah spent time in the commercial real estate business and established an exotic car dealership, which he still operates today. These professional experiences contribute to his ability to assist McCathern clients in a variety of real estate and entrepreneurship matters. Noah is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to law school, Noah graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama, majoring in Accounting and specializing in Finance. His knowledge of financial analysis and macroeconomics have been a source of insight on several commercial litigation cases already, and the firm expects it will continue to be useful in his career as a trial attorney. Noah’s specialty is taking complicated issues, and boiling them down to simple concepts that can be more easily explained.
When not practicing law, Noah enjoys his four dogs, spending time with his family, playing music, gardening, traveling, real estate, and the rare and exotic car business.
